# Settings & Preferences

> Customize your trading experience with preset amounts, limit offsets, and notifications

## Accessing Settings

Open your settings from the bot home screen:

1. Click **⚙ Settings** button
2. Choose what you want to customize
3. Changes save automatically
4. Return to home to continue trading

  Settings are stored per user and persist across sessions. Customize once, use everywhere.

## Auto Claim

Automatically redeem won or lost positions. Tap the button to turn on and off.

    When auto claim is on...

    * Onsight fee is taken from gross winnings
    * Net winnings automatically deposit to your Onsight wallet
    * Funds are immediately available for trading
    * Position detail appears in History

    For all resolved markets with WON positions.

    ## Market Order Default

    Set your default market order type.

    1. From Settings, click **Trading Presets**
    2. Click **Market Order Default** to change to FAK or FOK (default FAK)

      FAK = Fill-And-Kill (allows partial fills) - An order that must be filled immediately, either fully or partially, with any remaining portion canceled instantly.

      FOK = Fill-Or-Kill (all or nothing) - An order that must be executed completely and instantly; if not fully filled at the desired price, the entire order is canceled (killed).

    ## Stop Loss and Take Profit

    Control your risk tolerance per market. These settings apply to all self trades and copy trades.

        Automatically closes a position if it drops by the set percentage.

        Enter any value from **1–100**, where the number equals the percentage threshold.

        The lower the number, the more conservative. For example:

        * 5 = position closes at -5%
        * 25 = position closes at -25%
        * 75 = position closes at -75%

        Lower Stop Loss values = more conservative.

        Automatically closes a position once it gains by the set percentage.

        Enter any value from **1–100**, where the number equals the percentage threshold.

        * 5 = position closes at +5%
        * 25 = position closes at +25%
        * 75 = position closes at +75%

        Higher Take Profit values = letting winners run longer.

## Buy Amount Presets

Customize the quick-select amounts shown when buying:

    From Settings, click **Trading Presets → Buy Amounts**

    You'll see your current preset amounts (default: \$5, \$10, \$25, \$50, \$100, \$250, \$500)

    1. Click on an amount to edit
    2. Type new value (minimum \$2.00)
    3. Amount updates automatically
    4. Shows in all trade buy screens

    <Note>
      If your available trading balance is less than your preset buy amount, the preset won't be displayed as an option in the trade screen when buying

    1. Go to any market
    2. Click Buy
    3. Your custom amounts appear as buttons
    4. Click to select, skip typing

    <Tip>
      Set amounts based on your typical trade sizes. If you usually trade \$15, add it as a preset for one-click access.

### Recommended Preset Strategies

    **Suggested presets:** \$5, \$10, \$25, \$50

    * Small amounts for testing
    * Room to scale up gradually
    * Lower risk per trade
    * Good for learning

    Perfect for beginners or risk-averse traders.

  <Accordion title="Standard Trader ($50-500 positions)">
    **Suggested presets:** \$10, \$25, \$50, \$100

    * Balanced approach
    * Enough for meaningful positions
    * Not too large for one click
    * Room for diversification

    Most common configuration for regular traders.

  <Accordion title="Active Trader ($100-1000 positions)">
    **Suggested presets:** \$25, \$50, \$100, \$250

    * Larger quick-access amounts
    * For high-volume traders
    * Faster position building
    * Serious money at play

    Requires larger account balance and experience.

  <Accordion title="Scalper (Multiple small trades)">
    **Suggested presets:** \$5, \$7, \$10, \$15

    * Many small trades
    * Quick entries and exits
    * Tight risk control
    * High trade frequency

    For traders making 10+ trades per day.

## Sell Percentage Presets

Customize quick-select percentages when selling positions:

    Default: 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%

    1. Click on any percentage to edit
    2. Type new value (1-100)
    3. Amount updates automatically
    4. Shows in all trade sell screens

    <Note>
      100% is always included automatically - you can't remove the "close entire position" option.

    When selling a position:

    1. Your custom percentages appear as buttons
    2. Click to select how much to sell
    3. Shows estimated proceeds for each option

### Sell Percentage Strategies

    **Presets:** 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%

    **Strategy:**

    * 25% at +20% profit (secure small win)
    * 50% at +40% profit (lock half, ride half)
    * 75% at +60% profit (secure most gains)
    * 100% at +80% profit (full exit)

    Gradually lock in profits as position grows.

  <Tab title="Quick Scalping">
    **Presets:** 33%, 50%, 66%, 100%

    **Strategy:**

    * 33% quick profit (1/3 position)
    * 50% moderate profit (half out)
    * 66% leave 1/3 runner
    * 100% full exit

    Fast in and out with partial closes.

    **Presets:** 20%, 40%, 60%, 100%

    **Strategy:**

    * 20% at break-even (secure entry)
    * 40% at small profit (reduce risk)
    * 60% at target (lock win)
    * 100% stop-loss or moon

    Systematic risk reduction as trade develops.

## Limit Order Settings

### Price Offsets

Customize the quick-select price offsets for limit orders:

    Default: -2%, -1%, -0.5%, +0.5%, +1%, +2%

    * **Negative (-)**: Below current price (buy below, sell above)
    * **Positive (+)**: Above current price (buy above, sell below)

    Range: -50% to +50%

    <Tip>
      For buying, use negative offsets to get better prices. For selling, use positive offsets to sell at premium.

    When placing a limit order:

    1. Your custom offsets appear as price buttons
    2. Click to set limit price relative to current
    3. Can still choose custom price manually

### Expiration Durations

Set quick-select durations for limit order expiration:

    Default: 1h, 6h, 24h, 2d, 1w

    * Add durations in hours
    * Mix short and long timeframes

      Short durations (1-6h) good for fast-moving markets. Long durations (7-30d) for patient value trades.

    When setting limit order:

    1. Click **Set Expiration**
    2. Your preset durations will appear
    3. You can also set No Expiration or a Custom duration

    <Note>
      If no expiration is set, the limit order will default to GTC (Good-'Til-Canceled)

**Duration Strategy Guide:**

    **Best for:**

    * Fast-moving markets
    * News-driven events
    * High volatility
    * Short-term price targets

    **Example:** Election night, sports games, earnings reports

    Prices change rapidly. Set shorter expirations to stay competitive and avoid stale orders.

  <Accordion title="Medium-Term (12-48 hours)">
    **Best for:**

    * Standard trading
    * Moderate volatility
    * Events within days
    * Position building

    **Example:** Weekend sports, multi-day events, gradual position entry

    Balanced approach. Enough time to fill without orders sitting too long.

    **Best for:**

    * Value plays
    * Low liquidity markets
    * Long-term predictions
    * Patient traders

    **Example:** Monthly/quarterly events, policy decisions, slow-moving markets

    Set and forget. Let market come to your price over time.

    **Best for:**

    * True value plays
    * Will-fill-eventually mindset
    * No time pressure
    * Deep conviction trades

    **Example:** Long-term predictions, extreme value discrepancies

    No expiration. Order stays live until filled or you cancel manually. Use sparingly.

      GTC orders lock funds indefinitely. Set calendar reminder to review monthly and cancel if no longer relevant.

### Limit Shares

Customize the quick-select shares for limit orders:

## Settings Best Practices
